On the spot where the first miracle of the Holy Cross took place, a chapel was built in 1622. This chapel was given the name Kruisborre (Kruisborn) after the spring that sprang from the chapel. Later, a well was built to collect the spring water and the water was consecrated. With this holy water the people made the sign of the cross before they started the "road oem". They also often took water home to sprinkle stables and barns with when a thunderstorm broke out. The chapel is the start and end point of the so-called "Kapellekensweg" or "Weg Oem", and is located on a steep slope. It was protected as a landscape together with the surrounding area.
