El primer complejo fue construido en 1498 y utilizado como monasterio de Santa Maria delle Grazie di Montevergini. Esta primera estructura se ubicó a poca distancia del actual complejo y fue parcialmente destruida en 1885.
La iglesia adyacente se construyó a partir de 1687. En 1716 se construyó a la derecha de la fachada el campanario con una pequeña cúpula de mayólica.Read more
