Welcome to beautiful South Limburg and especially the municipality of Beek en Beekdaelen. This geological walk has been compiled by the IVN Spaubeek and makes you as a hiker aware of the geological structure of Spaubeek and its surroundings. In the route description you will also find a number of cultural-historical facts.
The walk is about 12 kilometers long, but you can also walk it as two shorter partial walks (6 and 7 km). During the walk you can enjoy diverse landscapes, which are special even for South Limburg. The route takes you over a plateau, past grafts, old farms, fruit orchards, field crosses and the Geleenbeek. Hollow roads lead you through a green, always surprising landscape. Along the way you have some beautiful views over the terraced landscape of Spaubeek and its surroundings.
Please note that this route is not signposted. You can, however, download a separate route description when downloading (from the author).
