In Loveren (Baarle) Queen Christina was welcomed by Adriaen van Ghilse in the small castle Bruheze the 5th of August 1654. Van Ghilse was the resident of the castle, an outpost of the Abbey of Thorn. Christina and her fellows lunched here. Bruheze doesn't exist anymore. In the 19th century it was demolished. The picture is a drawing by D. Schurmans from 1870, when the castle was a ruin already.
