Local residents of Witteveen and the Benderse were updated on the spot in August by the foresters of Natuurmonumenten.
The Anserdennen are on the eve of a number of adjustments. For example, the heathland must become more open, because in recent years it has grown more and more dense.
At the end of August, Natuurmonumenten went out with local residents in the area to explain the work, which will start this autumn. Foresters Ronald Popken and Hans Krol talked about the importance of the dry heathlands and how this area can be preserved for the future.
