Breda's Museum was founded in 1902 as the Stedelijk Museum voor Geschiedenis en Oudheidkunde. On 1 January 2017, the museum was merged with MOTI into Stedelijk Museum Breda. It was located at the Parade in the new district the Chassé Park in the Breda Centrum district in Breda. Together with the City Archives of Breda, it was located in the 100-year-old main building of the former Chassé barracks since 18 December 1998.
