Description

The sculpture entitled 'Water and Sun' was created in 1988 by the Dutch artist Nic Jonk. The statue was placed in the Parco della Rocca.

Nicolaas "Nic" Jonk (Grootschermer, July 11, 1928 – Alkmaar, October 11, 1994) was a Dutch visual artist, best known for his voluptuous images of mythological scenes, women and animals. He was also active as a graphic artist, painter and jewelery designer.

There are statues of Nic Jonk in about 200 places in the public space of the Netherlands. His work is also present in public places in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Curaçao and the United States.
