Elvington - Thornton - Pockington - Wilberfoss - 20m

Flat, circular route of 20 miles through Melbourne, Pockington, Fangfoss and Sutton. Varying countryside (mostly farm land and woods). The popular town of Pocklington has various amenities including cafes, fish & chips, pubs and shops. You pass near Allerthorpe Lakeland Park (boats, walk and cafe).

From Elvington, cross the bridge to Sutton upon Derwent and basically stay on the same road through Melbourne and Allerthorpe until you reach the roundabout with the A1079.
Cross straight on and head into Pocklington.
At the roundabout in Pocklington, turn left past the church and follow the road all the way to Fangfoss.
(For a slightly quieter road, a mile or so out of Pocklington, turn left onto Feoffee Lane then right at the end, before rejoining the main route by turning left towards Wilberfoss).
At Fangfoss, turn left, head into Wilberfoss, turning right at the end to reach the A1079. Cross straight over the road joining the slip road immediately opposite you towards Newton. From there, turn right at the end and head back to Elvington.
