Charleville-Mézières is a northern French city only 15 kilometers away from the Belgian border. The city actually consists of 2 parts, respectively called Charleville (the more modern large part) and Mézières (the more medieval small part). Because of their nearby location, the 2 separate cities were merged in 1966 to become what is now known as Charleville-Mézières. The walk combines the most beautiful parts of both cities and goes along sights such as the Paroisse Notre Dame D'esperance, the Place Ducale, the Fontaine Charles de Gonzague, ... and a whole host of other gems.
