The priory is open to visitors during special events and the European Heritage Days.
In 1262, Saint Louis founded the prieuré Saint-Maurice, within the perimeter of the château royal, to house the relics of twenty-four martyrs of the Theban Legion, companions of Saint Maurice. The eastern wing of the prieuré Saint-Maurice remains from the monastic complex, and was remodeled until the 19th century. The monks? dormitory on the upper floor has been restored. During your visit, you'll discover the astonishing wooden "upside-down ship's hull" ceiling.
