In the centre of Tarsacq, a small village near Monein and the AOC of the Jurançon vineyards.
For about ten years, Léon Serre has been interested in everything related to the primitive techniques of ceramic firing. The pieces are fired in a pit 1m by 2m and 50 to 80 cm deep. This firing and smoking technique gives his pieces a variety of textures and colours obtained in part by the carbonate salts. His ceramics have an ethnic aspect but the mixture of iridescent colours gives a refinement to the seemingly obscure pieces.
