Located in the middle of the village, discover the church of Savigny-sur-Aisne. Dating from the 15th century, this Gothic style church is dedicated to Notre Dame de la Nativité, also called Notre Dame Angevine. Built with local materials, the exterior facades are made of yellow stone from the Authe and Dom le Mesnil quarries. The white stones that make up the interior and exterior walls come from the village of Chémery. The facade of the church is covered by a magnificent portal of flamboyant gothic style. The arched stained-glass windows are bordered with defined vegetal sculptures. The sides of the arch are decorated with sculptures of St. Bartholomew, St. John, St. Peter and St. Paul. At the top of the lapointe, it is possible to admire the sculpture of a dragon whose mission is to push evil out of the church. Facing east, the church is built in the form of a Latin cross. The nave and the heart form the longest branch and the transept is the shortest branch. Visits to the church are possible on request at the town hall.
