Two short walks, starting from Kientzheim or Sigolsheim, to reach this lovely, sunny picnic area.
From the center of Sigolsheim, discover the national necropolis, an imposing military cemetery erected on the "Blutberg", the mountain of blood, in memory of the deadly battles of January & February 1945.
The climb is a little steep, but the view is absolutely magnificent on a clear day. Take advantage of your stop to admire the superb view over the vineyards.
Leaving Kientzheim, the walk takes you to the chapel oak, a venerable tree over 200 years old.
