Description

Located north of Luzech, the rocky promontory of l'Impernal dominates the Lot Valley. Numerous excavation campaigns have been carried out since the discovery of the site in 1872, and have revealed three areas of built structures
- A temple (fanum) of Celtic tradition, of Roman construction on a Gallic oppidum
- A construction recently interpreted as a more massive temple than the fanum.
- Three walls (including two buried walls) representing 1500 years of the history of ancient fortifications.
New in 2021: House of the oppidum: all the information on the history of the site, children's area....
Guided tours of the site are available on reservation.
