An emblematic monument of the battlefield, the Ossuary houses some 130,000 unidentified bodies of French and German soldiers.
The entrance ticket entitles you to a twenty-minute screening of "Verdun des hommes de Boue" (screenings every half-hour, 144-seat capacity. Simultaneous translation available in German, English, Dutch, Russian and Chinese ), as well as a tour of the cloister, chapel and tower, offering a panoramic view of the entire battlefield. In front of the ossuary lies the immense Nécropole Nationale de Douaumont, where over 16,000 French soldiers are buried.
