The church of Saint Martin is located on the site of the old building that was dynamited in 1917. During the elaboration of the development plan, the jury chose to preserve the site to ensure the continuity of the history of the city and not to disrupt the landmarks of the former inhabitants ; Two decorative elements on the main portal made by the sculptor Jaques: the devastated church and the rebuilt church. The Saint Martin from the old church is above the door of the present sacristy, rue des Moinets. The cooperative society of the devastated churches retained the project of the architect Regis Jardel during the 1922 competition. It was consecrated on January 30, 1927.
