The original church of Sahorre is attested to as early as 869 in an act indicating that it belonged to the abbey of St. Mary of Arles. This initial church was replaced by another in Romanesque style during the 12th century. Dedicated to St Etienne, it follows a plan with a single nave ending in a semi-circular apse. It has a 19m high bell tower.
