Parfondeval is a commune in the Aisne department in northeastern France, about 180 km from Paris, in the historical region of Thiérache.
It is included in the list of les plus beaux villages de France as a reward for its well-preserved architectural ensemble, with homogeneous constructions made of brick and covered with slate roofs. Among them stands out the church-fortress of Saint-Médard of the sixteenth century.
