The Chapel of Santa Cruz or Hermitage of San Miguel is a small, abandoned and poorly maintained hermitage near the Roman Bridge or Bridge of San Miguel .
The synagogue was located here, but since the reconquest it has been a chapel. It was used as a sanctuary by the workers, masters and owners of the tanneries in this neighborhood of San Miguel, where they venerated their saint Santa Cruz .
There are documents confirming that the Toros de Fuego (Fire Bulls) celebrations were held in the square where it is located in honor of San Miguel. People walk with a measured bull above their heads whose horns spit fire.
