The portico of Santa María de Ripoll is the façade that was attached to the previous one of the monastery of Santa María de Ripoll, located in the city of Ripoll, towards the middle of the twelfth century, to decorate the main entrance of the church, being one of the most monumental examples, in terms of sculptural decoration, in the field of Catalan Romanesque linked to the school of Toulouse. [1] Made as a triumphal arch, it has a great decorative profusion with scenes from the Old Testament carved by anonymous sculptors, following the accounts of a Bible that is preserved in the same monastery.
