Rise and shine! Up to the Hoher Peißenberg and greet the day. Unique moments when the sun slowly lifts the haze over the Alpine foothills and the Alps shine in the morning light. Get out your mountain bike and set off from the Moosleiten parking lot in Peißenberg. The steep ascent up the Hoher Peißenberg dispels any remaining fatigue. Via Sankt Michael and Taigschuster, you work your way up to the television tower, initially on comfortable tar, then on a forest road that later becomes very rough and stony. A real mountain bike race route, by the way. Now just a short climb to the church and then the promised panoramic view from a height of almost 1000 meters. Like a whirlwind down into the valley, on a small side road via Weinbauer and Sankt Georg (signposted as a cycle path to Peißenberg) back to Peißenberg, then towards Böbing/Rottenbuch. After the Ammerbrücke bridge, you have to conquer the Böbinger Berg with its two narrow hairpin bends. Shortly afterwards, turn left (signposts "Granerhof", "Bruckerhof") and follow the tarred or gravel road via Grambach, past the Graner See lake down to the Ammerhöfe farms (route extension: at the junction, continue straight ahead on the road to Böbing, continue via Feistenau to Grambach, 10 km detour, hilly route, partly busy road, partly forest roads). Stay on the right bank of the Ammer (inexperienced cyclists can also take the wide gravel embankment on the left) and continue along the embankment to the Roßlaich bridge. After a few kilometers, this route becomes a very narrow path and is sometimes challenging to ride. From Roßlaich, cycle uphill again to the hamlet of Berghof. Enjoy the panorama - and then let it run down to Peißenberg. 34 kilometers - the day has started well!
Tip: If you get up early enough, you can recover from the exertions in the "Rigi Rutsch'n" outdoor pool in Peißenberg.
