Start & finish: Kronach train station

Route: Kronach train station, Dörfles, Friesen, Steinberg, Wilhelmsthal, further into the Grümpel valley to the lower Grümpelmühle (= turning point). (*)

Route description: Opposite the train station in Kronach, the tour leads along the cycle path first along the Haßlach, then over the Schwarzer Steg to the Plessi Tower, which stands at the entrance to the Landesgartenschaupark Kronach. From there, take a sharp left and continue north along the Kronach river to Dörfles. From there, the route continues to the rafting village of Friesen. Continue along cycle paths to Steinberg and then to the mountain village of Wilhelmsthal. In Wilhelmsthal, the tour branches off to the right into the quiet and idyllic Grümpel valley. The turning point is at the Untergrümpelmühle mill. From there, the route follows the same route back to Kronach.
