The start is at the parking lot of the functional building in the Nordic-Aktiv Zentrum in Althütte. The 5.4 km route takes walkers across the meadow into the small wood to Bochsrangen. Many small paths lead past the former Unterhütte ski lift. The route then follows forest paths towards Herzogau. Shortly before the village sign, the route takes a sharp left uphill and downhill again towards Althütte, where Nordic walkers can replenish their carbohydrates with a regional snack in the Bergstadl Althütte.
