Radwanderweg Holzkirchen Bayrischzell

The cycle trail from Holzkirchen to Bayrischzell starts in Holzkirchen and leads through the beautiful foothills of the Alps to the foot of the Wendelstein in Bayrischzell. The starting point is at Holzkirchen station at the main building (station square on the west side, opposite the Sparda Bank).

First keep right (north) and past the station parking lots to the traffic circle. Turn right here. We soon cycle comfortably past Erlkam and on to Föching. Continue to Fellach and on a small road with little traffic over Sollach and on to Valley. Passing the castle, we descend into the Mangfall valley - we follow the Mangfall to the mouth of the Schlierach and Mangfall rivers just before Miesbach; always close to the water, mostly shady through the natural Mangfall valley. Continue through Miesbach, past Agatharied and Hausham to Schliersee - now mostly along the Schlierach. We pass the western shore of Schliersee, cycle via Fischhausen-Neuhaus and on to Aurach, Geitau and Osterhofen as far as Bayrischzell.
The route is signposted as a cycle path throughout and is easy to cycle on any good touring bike.
