The wine route along the Weiße Elster invites you to cycle back and forth every year.

Description

Along the 17 km long experience route through the valley of the Weiße Elster, there is the opportunity for traditional cycling, as well as wine tastings and vineyard tours to convince yourself of the quality of the local wines. The wine route leads from Kloster Posa Zeitz via Haynsburg, Wetterzeube, and Schleckweda to Trebnitz. The wine estates and wineries cordially invite you. A goat farm also offers regional specialties.

Every year on May 1st, the cycling event of the wine route takes place, and on October 3rd of each year, the season ends with the cycling event. On these two days, a stop should be made at each station.

Safety Instructions

There is no guided tour, everyone can ride individually. The starting point is always Kloster Posa. In the urban area of Zeitz, cyclists coming from Kloster Posa are accompanied by the police. In the area of the Verbandsgemeinde Droyßiger-Zeitzer Forst and the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Heideland-Elstertal-Schkölen, you partly ride on roads and partly on cycle paths. The road traffic regulations apply.
