On this tour, you always have the lake and the Alps in view. Discover the largest and most important nature reserve, Eriskircher Ried, on the northern shore of Lake Constance. It provides a protected habitat for rare animal and plant species and is considered one of the last untouched places on the shores of Lake Constance. Cool off in between with a dip in the lake.
Start at Eriskirch train station and visit the Eriskirch Nature Conservation Center. Learn exciting facts about the flora and fauna in the Eriskircher Ried. Follow the path and you will reach the Eriskirch lido.
Near the Eriskirch outdoor pool, the open access to the lake invites you to swim and barbecue. Stay by the lake and follow the dreamy, narrow path through the wild and romantic alluvial forest. In two places, the path leads out through the reed belt to two wonderful lake viewing platforms.
Hike to the mouth of the Rotach and enjoy the view along the eastern lakeside promenade. In the next stage, you will reach the harbor pier with the 22m-high Moleturm tower. Climb 117 steps up to 2 viewing platforms. Stroll along the promenade and take a break in one of the many restaurants and cafés.
Refreshed and refreshed, continue past the Zeppelin monument and the marina to the ancient castle harbor. You can see the town's landmark, the castle church with its two domed towers, from afar. Walk in majestic footsteps and follow the royal promenade path from the castle with its monumental walls and picturesque park to the glistening Lake Constance.
Once you have passed the Friedrichshafen lido, you will reach the lakeside path (in front of the MTU company). The site of the former campsite offers free bathing fun. Leave the site in the direction of the Fischbach open-air and lake pool. The destination of this walk is Fischbach harbour, which also has a public bathing area.
