Sauerland-Höhenflug: From Altenaffeln to Wildewiese

The stage starts near Altenaffeln at the intersection of hiking trail X18 and the Sauerland-Höhenflug. The path leads you to the heights of the Lennegebirge mountains up to the Hagener Kreuz (rest stop) and further to a small pilgrimage church with a scenic forest bench. Now it steadily descends to Hagen (also known as Kuhschisshagen :-)) From here, the Höhenflug-Trailrun starts annually on the second weekend of June. Now it's uphill to Wildewiese. This is where the stage ends. In any case, you should still take a detour up to the Schombergturm, because here you have one of the most beautiful 360-degree panoramic views of the Sauerland region (photo spot!).
