Description

Depending on the snow conditions, you can start directly on the parking lot in the cross-country ski trail or follow the Silberbachstraße for about 150 meters and start your cross-country ski tour there. In the right turn or on the trail, keep to the far left. From here, the trail extends at the foot of the Kuckucks over meadows for about 700 meters at almost the same level. After a small descent, there is a sharp turn at the so-called Schlangenborn. With a view of the Wiedatal and the opposite Käseberg, the tour goes back about 800 meters to the starting point at Käseberg.

DSV Premium Trail

This trail is a certified DSV Premium Trail. Together with municipalities in the western Harz and the districts of Goslar and Osterode am Harz, the Foundation for Safety in Skiing (SIS) and the German Ski Association (DSV) have been working in recent years for a qualitative development of the trail network in the Harz region. The trails have been certified as DSV nordic active centers according to international criteria, signposted with a uniform system, and equipped with information boards.
