Achterpfad

The natural forest trail was created in June 2023 as part of a forest education project by ForstBW (Southern Black Forest forest district) and the Fürstabt-Gerbert School in St. Blasien. Within a week, the eighth-graders became real forest workers. With handsaws and loppers, as well as the expert support of forest managers and foresters, they cut the narrow hiking trail clear and filled it with wood chips.But anyone who thinks they have to walk in circles because of the "eight" is wrong. At the end of the project, there was a competition for the best path name. The winner was the name "Achterpfad", so that the hard-working eighth grade of the 2022/2023 school year has a small memorial.
