You see that too!
The cool cold drink and the crispy Maultaschen taste particularly good after the impressive long tour.
You want gravel, you want adventure, you want culture? Then strap on your helmet, because this tour has it all! A mix of gravel roads, cycle paths, roads with little traffic and lots of vineyards. Sweeping views over the hills that will take your breath away. And for the gourmets among you, a detour to the UNESCO World Heritage Maulbronn Monastery, the birthplace of Maultasche. Culture with taste, what more could you want? The tour starts and ends in Besigheim, and that's just the beginning.
First of all, a leisurely roll downstream on the Neckar Valley cycle path. Vineyards here, steep slopes there - everything for the eye. In Horkheim, you cross the Neckar and then head off to the Altwürttembergischer Landgraben towards Heuchelberg. Want a first highlight? After a moderate climb: panoramic views over the hilly countryside. Want even more? Climb the Heuchelberg Warte and enjoy the 360-degree view.
Now it's time to gravel. Along the Heuchelberg - panorama included. Photo stops? Of course! The warm-up is over, now comes the fun. A flowing single track, gravel roads through the forest, everything your gravel heart desires. Through orchards and hills to the vineyards.
You see that too! Before heading down to Pfaffenhofen, the Kleingartacher Höhe pass sign is waiting for you! Stop briefly, take a pass selfie and add it to the wall of fame before you continue on your way.
On to Zaberfeld and the Ehmetsklinge, where the nature park center is calling. Continue through woods and meadows to Maulbronn Monastery. Take a break, fortify yourself, enjoy the culture. Then: off over the Eichelberg vineyards, where gravel and asphalt go hand in hand and you make good progress. In Großsachsenheim, the castle beckons and then it's down to the Enz. Along the Enz valley cycle path, past Bietigheim-Bissingen, with the option of exploring the bunkers from the Second World War.
And then, the grand finale: Kramer's beer garden. Cozy, delicious, the perfect place to reflect on the tour. Vineyards, views, gravel fun, culture and a Maultasche (or two) - this tour has everything your gravel heart desires. So let's go, adventure is calling!
