Bike Arena Sauerland - Sundern Short

From the start in Sundern, there is a steep ascent along the L 685, a quite busy country road, to Arnsberg. In Arnsberg, you will come across the Ruhr, where on its left side you will ride a short distance through the "Alte Feld" and around the "Kurfürstlicher Thiergarten".
The route continues through Wennigloh, Hachen, and Tiefenhagen, finally reaching the dam of the Sorpesee. Here, you take another ascent to the observation tower above the Sorpesee and then back to the L687, the lakeside road of the Sorpesee, via the K 34. The tour continues to Amecke on the cycle path separated from the main road. You cross the dam separating the forebay from the main basin of the reservoir over the bridge. You then ride along the forebay on the Amecker promenade with the beautifully designed Airlebnisweg.
Another steep ascent via the L686 leads through the villages of Stockum and Seidfeld back to Sundern, the starting point of the tour.
