On the educational and adventure trail, there is plenty to discover. Various stations with sensory and perception tasks invite you to try them out and are guaranteed to prevent boredom. It starts at the hiking car park "Leistruper Wald". The picturesque Leistruper Wald is one of the most species-rich forests in Lippe and is home to a dense population of beech trees, alders, and sessile oaks. Due to the water-retaining subsoil of sandstone and clay, there are many ponds, streams, and springs here. The Leistruper-Wald-Route has been awarded as a "Quality Hiking Trail" and playfully conveys a lot of interesting facts about the forest and its inhabitants. 11 stations on different topics make the hike through the Leistruper Wald a memorable experience for young and old, inviting them to try out and explore. At some stations, you will have to test your skills or compete with forest inhabitants. The adjacent hiking trail passes by several large rock blocks, also known as "sacrificial stones" in popular parlance. A roughly 3500-year-old stone barrow gives us a glimpse into the burial culture of the Bronze Age.
