Neckarweg | Etappe Heilbronn - Lauffen

Almost flat and directly along the banks of the Neckar - with city beaches to linger on and nature reserves along the way.

In the city of Heilbronn, not far from the Neckarweg in the Badstraße area, there is a city beach with refreshments and invites you to linger. The Neckarweg continues out of the city through the Wertwiesenpark directly on the Neckar.

Between Heilbronn and Nordheim, the Altneckar nature reserve invites you to take a breather.

Between Nordheim and Lauffen, the only significant elevation gain awaits the hiker. The route gently ascends and descends through the vineyards above the Neckar

In Lamparter Park directly on the banks of the Neckar in Lauffen, wave loungers welcome hikers to a relaxing end to the day from Friday to Sunday in the summer months.

S-Bahn hike & shortcuts

In Heilbronn, the Neckarweg runs right past the train station.

In Lauffen, it is around 700 m from Lamparter Parkto the train station.

For a shortcut, the Nordheim train station is a good option - the Neckarweg leads directly across the station square.
