OD2 - Derdinger Horn Tour

It goes past vineyards, through forests, along orchards, the Kraichsee and Bernhardsweihersee lakes are on the route.

The start of the circular tour is at the Geological Window in the direction of Bremich. At the edge of the forest, turn right up the path, then keep left and follow the forest adventure trail to the large tree disc (with a time plaque), turn right onto Breiten Weg, then left to the 7 beeches. Here a path leads down to the Kraichsee lake, then diagonally left up to the deer enclosure in Sternenfels. Continue along the enclosure on a section of the Sandbauernweg. At the forest path, turn left onto Breiten Weg and then right at the top at the Freudenstein campsite towards Knittlingen. This is followed by a panoramic path above the vineyards with great views. At the end of this path, the trail descends again into the forest to Berhardsweihersee. Cross the dam and turn right along the lake into the forest. A flight of steps - keep slightly to the left - leads upwards and along the vineyards to the "Eugen Gültlinger" viewpoint. Finally, we return to the starting point at the Geological Window via the Horn barbecue hut.
