Rund um Dalem

The Heckendalheimer Höhen- und Klammenweg "Rund um Dalem" trail takes you through the charming and beautiful Bliesgau landscape of the UNESCO biosphere reserve. During your hike, you can experience the limestone heights of the Bliesgau with fertile farmland as well as the wooded gorges of the red sandstone at lower altitudes.

Around 80% of the trail leads along field, forest and meadow paths, often consisting only of narrow paths. On the heights, but especially on the Roman road, you can enjoy wonderful views as far as the Vosges mountains in Alsace and the Palatinate Forest on a clear day. At lower altitudes, streams have carved deep gorges into the red sandstone, leaving behind wild and romantic landscapes.The hike through the "Flürches Klamm", the "Hahner Klamm" and the "Dalheimer Klamm im Almend" is an experience for every nature lover, but also poses some challenges. At one point, the banks are crossed on stepping stones, while steps lead upwards on the other side.
