Johannes Kühn was born in Bergweiler in 1934 and now lives in Hasborn. He is one of the most important contemporary German-language poets and has remained closely connected to the people and landscape around the Schaumberg, which also strongly influence the themes of his poems. Along the way, plaques with quotes by Johannes Kühn invite you to perceive nature through the eyes of the poet.On scenic paths, the trail leads around Hasborn, past the "Zeppelsborre", an old Hasborn water supply, over the Bitschberg with remains of an old Roman road to the Kremerberg with magnificent views over Hasborn and to the Schaumberg. Special features of the trail include the old town hall in Hasborn-Dautweiler, which was opened as a village school in 1912 and served as a military hospital for a time during the Second World War, as well as the remains of an old Roman road and the "gray stone", which is the subject of many legends.
