Traumschleife Litermont Sagenweg

On mostly narrow forest and meadow paths over many wooden footbridges, you walk around the village of Düppenweiler. Information boards with background information on the geological features, legendary sites and the prehistory and early history of the region around the Litermont make the hike a special local history lesson.

This trail offers plenty of variety: wooden footbridges, a romantic stream valley and beautiful viewpoints provide hikers with a pristine experience. At dawn or in the autumn mist, a shiver can run down your spine at legendary places such as the "Grey Stone" or the "Place of Execution" at the Valentinus Chapel.

The tour offers hikers the opportunity to learn about the historical and geological peculiarities as well as the legends of the Litermont region.

The trail has been awarded 60 experience points by the German Hiking Institute.
