The cross-border cycle route between the twin towns of Furth im Wald and Domazlice/Taus is marked with the yellow CR cycle route sign and the number 2014. It leads from Furth im Wald past the outdoor pool, Wildgarten, reservoir in the direction of Gaishof, Schachten to the border crossing at Eschlkam-Neuaign (approx. 12 km). The route, which is not easy overall, continues over the Neumarker Sattel in the direction of Kdyne. In Praporiste, the marked trail turns left towards Starec, Kout na Sumave, Mrakov, from here it is approx. 7 km to the "capital" of the Chodsko region, Domazlice. Domazlice/Taus is a Bohemian border town founded around 1000 years ago, which became prosperous and important early on as a customs post for the Bohemian kings. Worth seeing: magnificent arcades and facades on the market square, Chodenburg castle, church and town tower on the town square. Return (approx. 20 km) via Tlumacov, Pasecnice, Ceska Kubice to the Hochstraße border crossing (only for hikers and cyclists) to Furth im Wald. A less strenuous alternative between the twin towns of Domazlice and Furth im Wald is the international cycle path no. 3.
