Description by the author

Antwerp, cycling and architecture make a great combination.

You will find a fine example from every century, period or style. The signposted Architecture Route takes you on a tour of world-famous classics, hidden gems and surprising urban development. Be sure not to forget your camera.

Het Steen, the MAS, the world-famous Central Station and the Cathedral of Our Lady. These are the classics that give the city its face. Statues of Gothic, Renaissance, modernism and contemporary architecture.

But are you also familiar with the Church Ship in the Houtdok? The German tanker ship from World War II is now a parish church. See the helicopter pad on the artist Panamarenko's birthplace? And did you know that the only home in Belgium by Le Corbusier can be found in Antwerp? And then you have the belle époque neighborhood of Zurenborg and the modernism of Deurne. All often unknown gems you can keep looking at.
