Description by the author

With this walk we aim to make a day trip that is also suitable for less sporty walkers because all climbs are avoided . It is the flattest option to visit Alle, Vresse and Laforêt along the Semois. In a mixed group with more sporty walkers , another group can do the same loop but with an extra climb via the sporty version that you can find here.

It is a beautiful walk that allows you to start in Alle, Vresse or Laforêt and enjoy a drink on a terrace in the afternoon in one of the 3 villages or the Huttopia Vallée de la Semois campsite (formerly Le Héron?).

Start at Recréalle , accessible by public transport . We walk across the Semois and pass the many hotels that Alle has to offer. At the pedestrian bridge to Mouzaive we can take a path parallel to the road that leads us a little further past Camping Le Trou du Cheval .

A little further we come to the famous Pont de Claies (only in summer) where a bench invites you to watch the spectacle of the crossing.

This brings us to Vresse Plage with its picnic tables and the Pont Saint-Lambert. It is recommended to go to the wooden Locomotive Belge , further on at the intersection past the church.

We follow the bridge over the Semois and dive down to the left. The path leads us to Laforêt, one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia , which we visit.

We return to the banks of the Semois, which we follow along a beautiful path. A little further we take the Pont de Rebais , after which the only short climb of the walk follows. Continue along the Semois and past the Huttopia Vallée de la Semois campsite , which also has a terrace on the water.

We now pass the church of the village of Mouzaive and continue following the Semois to the starting point.

Be sure to consult the information about the sights once you are there. She explains what you will see.
