This is the route for the first day of the triptych in favor of "back on track".
From 10 to 12 September 2021, 50 employees of AZ Maria Middelares and the Sint-Vincentius hospital Deinze will ride a three-day bike ride in favor of the "Back on Track" fund (www.backontrackfoundation.com) with the motto "Together Strong".
This fund, founded by Thomas Van der Plaetsen and AZ Maria Middelares, raises money to make the treatment of cancer patients more bearable by focusing on psychosocial support, rehabilitation programs, ...

The first day the participants of AZ Maria Middelares drive to Ostend where they spend the night.

Via the Leie, the Ghent-Bruges canal and the Schipdonk canal it goes to Nevele. Then inside to connect back to the Ghent-Bruges canal near Aalter-Brug to the Katelijnepoort in Bruges. Along the Minnewater to the "Stil Ende" and then the Bruges-Ostend canal that is briefly abandoned to make a detour to Varsenare.

In Stalhille, the Bruges-Ostend canal is again sought as far as Plassendale. Eventually the participants enter Ostend via the Vicognedijk and "het bosje".
