Stroll along the Green Beemd in Ruisbroek. The view of Ruisbroek, once very rural, is now mainly determined by the RO - E19 motorway. This ruthlessly cuts the Senne beemd. But the remains of this green meadow are still being discovered. These meadows and water are the cause of Ruisbroek's growth and prosperity. In 1852, Rey-Ainé founded a mechanical weaving factory there. He chose the place because of the vast fields where he could bleach his sheets. It required a lot of water, so he had ponds dug up. Today it is to the fish ponds enjoying the water and tranquility. If you're lucky, you'll spot a beautiful kingfisher here. Children find a place in the play forest, while insects have also been thought: they have their hotel on the side of the gym.
