Vloesberg: Around La Houppe or D'Hoppe 19 km or 15 km

A walk on the Flemish territory (Flemish Ardennes) and Walloon (Pays de Collines) with some forest passages: Steenbergbos; Hayerbos; Lievierenbos and Brakelbos. The forests that are part of the forest belt on the witness hills of the region, erosion-resistant hills that have a height of up to 150 meters. Livierenbos is recognised as a "Site of Great Biological Interest" and protected as a "European Natura 2000 Area" and the foothills on the Flemish side are protected as a "Bosssen van de Vlaamse Ardennen". Steep slopes and rugged paths color this beautiful walk. Easy parking at the starting point directly in a forest environment with picnic areas. The route can be shortened to 15 km if you cross the stone road after 5.2 km to continue the route. To park, just drive the secondary road (in poor condition) from the direction of La Motte in the forest, about 200 meters away.
