This chapel was built in 1687 by the then Cistercian abbot of the nearby Ter Doest abbey (Maarten a Colle), because of his victory during a trial against Abbot Terasse. The trial concerned the title of Abbot of Ter Duinen, and was conducted before King Louis XIV.
In the east facade a rectangular framed doorway with a Baroque round-arched niche with a Madonna statue above it. Above it two coats of arms , respectively of Abbot Martinus Colle with his motto "A COLLE AD MONTEM" and that of the Duinen Abbey shared with that of Ter Doest with the motto "FAC NECESSITATE VIRTUTEM".
