't Vlierhof has been reopened by Mario Vanvoorden (54 years old) and his wife Maria Margaretha Carboni.
Together, we want to bring local residents together, charm tourists with local products and train real hospitality enthusiasts. Mario has tons of hospitality experience and wants to focus on the beautiful neighborhood with this business.
We come from Wellen and want to bring the church village to life and ensure social contact between the inhabitants. Mario is interested in tourism and wants to capitalize on this. He understands that many tourists are looking for peace and quiet during their leave. "Making sure that tourists visit a small and cozy village like Vliermaal and can escape from the hustle and bustle and enjoy themselves to the fullest, that's what we're going for!", says Mario enthusiastically.

Mario's goal is to deploy students and turn them into real hospitality rascals. He wants to train these young talents and give them the first stimuli of the hospitality industry. Older staff are also always welcome. The business was given a festive opening in mid-May during the fair in Vliermaal. "It is the first time that the building is fully rented, the café and the hall together. The hall was even completely renovated a few years ago," says Alderman for Tourism Alexander Wouters.
His wife Maria Margaretha Carboni also joins the business. She'll be in the kitchen. There will be a small kitchen, complemented by a varied suggestion menu where the focus is on local products. These local products, mainly based on elderberry, will also be offered for sale. Mario has also had two well-run businesses in Wellen in the past. With his business, he brought life to the neighborhood. Together, the couple also organized numerous activities. For example, a New Year's dive and a Santa Claus run for the neighborhood.
