Pailhe is one of the oldest parishes in the Huy district, but the current neoclassical building by the Hut architect Emile VIERSET-GODIN dates from 1847.
Here you can admire a reproduction of the famous Pailhe altarpiece , in polychrome wood of the late Gothic period, divided into seven compartments depicting scenes from the life of Christ and attributed to the Antwerp artist Jean de MOLDER. The original has been in the Musée d'Arts et d'Histoire in Brussels since 1843.
There is also a very fine 1520 Christ on the Cross , from a workshop in 's Hertogenbosch, a 17th century statue of Saint Gilles with a doe, a 65 cm silver monstrance (1650), as well as two 19th century silver incense burners of 27 cm.
