Five menhirs can be found 25 m east of the dolmen d'Oppagne. Three were already known in 1888, the other two were discovered during excavations in 1986. During later excavations, the original planting hole of four menhirs was found again and in April 1997 these four menhirs were put back in their original place.
The dolmen of Oppagne is also called the southern passage tomb, Wéris II.
Some 5,000 years ago, in the Late Neolithic (Late New Stone Age), people from a group of the Seine-Oise-Marne culture (SOM) erected the dolmens here.
