Next to the church is the walled cemetery of Beausaint.
The Halleux-Ryelandt family burial chapel in the cemetery is still moving to commemorate the gas used in the trenches in 1914-18 . It is a very large winery that dates back to the second half of the 20th century.
A 95 cm plaque in the chapel bears the following inscription: Inscription: Here lies André Benoît Marie Joseph Augustin Ghislaine de Halleux, born on November 30, 1898 in Bruges. Drafted into the Belgian Army as a volunteer, awarded the Croix de Guerre and the Military Medal, died as a result of the asphyxiating gases in Chamonnix (France) on October 25, 1918, armed with the Sacraments of Our Mother the Holy Church. REST IN PEACE.
