In 1093, 2 ramps were built here based on the American model. The basic idea of dry running - pulling a large metal sled with a wooden floor over chains on rails on a slope - hasn't changed.
The ramps were built on a 132.7 meter long slope. The largest ramp has a lifting capacity of 1000 tons , the smallest 500 tons. The ramps are flanked by two control buildings and machines on concrete bases.
Between 1960 and 1980 there were between 400 and 500 outflows per year. Since 1980, the number of dry docks has been systematically reduced due to the reduction in the fishing fleet and the disappearance of some shipyards.
