Description

In Ostend, the new fish market has been operational since 2019 with an area of 5,000 square meters . Much of the mine built after World War II was demolished, but the historic facade was preserved.

The Flemish fish auction intends to auction a total of 17,000 tonnes of fish each year, spread over the Zeebrugge and Ostend locations. This generates sales of around 67 million euros (2019).
